As someone who once worked at McDonald\'s, I can tell you that the patties on the McD burger are 1.6 ounces each before cooking. Based on BK\'s ads, I am assuming that their patties are 2 ounces each. (Somebody correct me if I\'m wrong. I know you will.)

They both look disgusting. I think the McD burgers look slightly better here in Finland than the examples you\'ve shown. We don\'t have BKs or Carl Jr\'s...

You\'re not supposed to look at them, you\'re just supposed to stuff them in your mouth.

If they showed them on the commercials the way the look in real life, no one would want them. FALSE ADVERTISING!

A burger I ordered at a fast food joint in college was photographed for a story in the Sac Bee. It was a little cold by the time I got it, but it was the pretties fast food I\'ve ever eaten. Been disappointed ever since.

Somebody should sue these companies for lack of truth in advertising. The burger you get is NOT the same as the one you are shown. Class action baby!

I really think you should get rid of the comment sections. It makes the world stupider, watch, even I\'m doing it: Jesus! Everyone knows that the pictures is ways better than teh commercials show they do. YOu have too much time on ur hands.

Maybe do a bit of photoshop on the original ads, just to remove the gigantic lettuce/pickle/condiments? For both this comparison & the last one, once that stuff is gone, even in the original ads the burgers are about the same size.

Perhaps if you tell the people at the counter that the food will be used for a commercial?

The McDs at Disney (Fla) produces food that looks like the ads. If they can do it there, they can do it anywhere. We were told that the Disney McDs represents the international quality level. In the US, we get the crappy stuff.

I believe we need a \"how much\" comparison. Is it even possible for the uncrushed, uncooked, raw ingredients to even appear close in stature to the commercial?

@Chris: This is not true. McD\'s is crap everywhere, even internationally.
