Here again, the folks in charge posted a height two feet less than the actual clearance available, presumably to discourage any vehicles in the 11'-15' height range from attempting an entrance.
Summary
Based on these measurements and others, I found the following:
- Shorter clearances tend to be labeled more accurately than tall clearances.
- Sometimes the warning bars are posted higher than they are marked, sometimes lower.
- Clearances marked in inches or feet and inches tend to be more precise than clearances marked in feet only.
- Regular people don't know how tall their vehicles are.
- Just because you can measure something doesn't make it interesting to read about.
