Man Without a Gun Leaves Scene Unharmed

July 20, 2013 - Sacramento, CA

A potentially deadly situation was averted yesterday when Rob Cockerham of Sacramento did not have a gun.

Rob noticed a weird guy brandishing a knife near his car. Other cars and activity were nearby, people getting out to use a nearby Redbox machine. The situation was clearly volatile.

If Rob had had a gun, he may have exited his vehicle with the gun, ready to confront the man. Perhaps he would have hung back in wait, ready to react if the knife-weilder threatened someone.

Gunless, he locked his car doors, drove up to the other car and warned them of the knife-guy. Then the two cars drove to a safe distance, where they notified police.
